I agree that the ads are obnoxious (I haven't seen them, but your description was enough!). However, I wonder if HFCS is getting an unfair rap. Some parts of the "5 minutes for going green post" were incorrect or misleading (not intentionally, I'm sure). HFCS is basically the same thing as sucrose--it's just so much more widely present in our food. Moderation, as the ad suggests, might be fine--if it were possible.
